Writing a Poem

Something noticed in the dance of different hands
How should I approach this, of you I can't demand
Asking for the freedom, of words from mind to page
Wanting words to free me, been locked away in cage

Never should you haste, when you are writing of emotion
Until it shares a full embrace, and not just silly notion
As you listen to a thought, wanting to come through
Set it to a simple beat, words kept simple but true

Don't feel disappointed, when it doesn't flow at first
If you count the syllables, you'll figure out the verse
What is spawned from inside, easily does not come
It often takes some work, to say the poem is done
