Hope Still Lives

O my dearest inspiration, my life from you imparted
So near to this creation, it seems already started
I mean not to rush, for you're always there
I need of your touch, or hope left despaired

A feeling so strong, dissection of word persists
Appearing as wrong, still directing to bliss
If your faith is forsaken, all my hope is gone
I pray your mistaken, or never I'll belong

A pathway I have seen, so clearly dawned in me
Maybe I was too keen, to steer forgotten dreams
Leave me not in misery, voiding comprehension
The bleeding song within me, still calls for your attention

Matthew, in you I do confide, in haste-have I lost direction?
I'm just trying not to hide, to steer wrong-not my intention
I could never move, to guide me you are meant
Hidden thought subdued, where might I be sent?
