A Different View

Forgive me, for I have lost much respect for thee
Amid your accusations, of theft and burglary
I have not hoped for any of your fame
In your words I've found truth
I've felt worthy to proclaim

Something you must have missed, when coming to this place
Upon clicking on submit, you've lost all value to your case
For words in the public domain
Are free for all to claim

Oh what a shame
What a shame indeed
That I have stolen your word
So in all its beauty-it might be heard

In you, a great poet I see, to your words I will always strive
It brings great pain to me, my adopted words not wanted here alive
O so disheartening, that my poetry-you berate
When it only wishes to give, and never to take

To all poets out there, feel honoured if I should use words from you- I would
For in them I've found truth, worthy to share, come from a different view
