I am I

A heart sunken, caused by my grave mistakes
A dream wrought by senseless desires
A heart broken, a hollow sound it makes
A seam torn, frayed, alone as it mires

The page cries through a voice of nothingness
The stagnant words echo in remembrance
The purity of truth, brought me into this mess
The lack of judgement, is my partner in dance

As a blackbird soaring, yet flying in dark
As an oak tree, roots firmly set to ground
As a fire stands waiting, for that first spark
As you sit waiting, for the familiar sound

I am living the glory of all of your sin
I am here, but gone, in the blink of an eye
I am passing you by, as one of you kin
I am writing so you'll know, I AM I
