Hidden Knowledge

I once didn't want to look in the mirror

I hated who I was in this world

I was disappointed in what I saw

But then I realized, it's never gonna be better

I started to see beauty, I never realized

You have to accept what you are

Forget about what you were

Be happy with what you are-you are alive

For staying alive, my love is waiting

Know that any of your worst fears, may happen

Realize that, you don't want them to happen

And forget about the silly notion

That fear would overcome-the love waiting for you

Have you ever opened your eyes to love

I could love you, enough for both of us

Without you needing to do anything

Be the person you want, for that is what I want

Complain about anything, how else would I see

Keep your beliefs, embrace mine, if you want

Never betray yourself, and do not ask it of me

Complain about bad habits, because I have them too

Criticize your failures, because I see strength in persistence

Ever stop looking for new, and beautiful things about you

Set you up for failure, because that would be my failure

Lie to you, I know you're strong enough to hear the truth

Be overbearing with my voice, yours is just as important

Force you to do anything, I don't want to be forced

I Will:

Congratulate you when you do a good job, and when you don't

Help you see where you went wrong, you'll do better next time

Be happy all the time, you won't anger me-if you don't get angry

Listen to what you say-be willing to help me hear, and understand

Let you guide, I'll always walk beside, with my guidance

Bring you to your limits, so our life can be limitless

Laugh at our mistakes, for they are our perfections-yet to find

I Could Never:

Scream, there's no reason to, if anything, I'd rather you scream at me

Hurt you, because that would hurt more then hurting myself

Try to make you cry, because I'd cry with you, it feels better to be happy

Keep asking things of you, I'll ask nothing of you more then twice

Criticize your mistakes, I'll be there to help correct them

Expect you to be amazing everyday, because that makes me more amazing

Expect anything, because I like encountering the unexpected

Form a judgement, on things you can't control,

I'll try to help you gain control

Expect you to do everything, I'll do everything I can for you

Force you to do anything, I'll be there when you find what you do want to do

Make you what I want, because you are everything I want

Push you over the edge, because I don't want to lose you

Karma is a form, of self torment

Break the norm, feel the pain sent

We learn from pain, we don't have to live it

To know the gain, we just have to realize it

When living through the heart, feel both sides

What better time to start, then right now

Don't attach yourself to action-good or bad

We all live within our shadow, let's not be sad

Live, and let things go-do not judge

Love, and learn-get out of the mud

Don't hold yourself down, for something done or not

Don't sit and frown, just give it your best shot

There is no higher power, to come save us

We have to come together, in love and trust

We must forgive ourselves, not just each other

The Kiva

The sacred kiva, a place of inner reflection

It is my mirror, of this lives recollections

Showing me medicine, as I search for my place

Gifts that are given-help, to understand grace

It shows me my piece, of a puzzle-to complete

A road to enlighten, is a great road to meet

A confirmation of trust, between heart and mind

As realizations are thrust, in hopes to change time

The attitude I hold, in this world left a part

Inner-peace to be told, as I'm sharing my art

I write you my poetry, as if I was smoking a pipe

My gratitude to show thee, as we light up the night

Honoring all creation, no tobacco unsmoked

Spiritual communion, sent through the smoke

My prayer through living, in truth as I stand

Showing power through giving, withholding demands

Maintaining one-ness, my journey to success

I release with kindness, the tools to un-mask

The wheel of time, is spinning though me

Im baring what I am, so I can come back-to me

Respecting all gifts, spawns an intuitive sense

Answers are given, when my heart is content

All matter has spirit, connecting life energy

No need to fear it, just make it a memory

Visions of my relations, from bits of dried cedar

A way to illumination, nature sacrificed from fire

The roots I've created, for life to survive

By defining relations, a design-to devise

My Drop of Wisdom

Many traditions, are lost to the past

Most I don't know, though some cross my path

One just encountered, caught my gaze

One where sacred possessions, we're given away

Called a potlatch, from native teachings

'Twas to detach, from material needings

Disregarded, by the American man

Equality in life, was their demand

About releasing-to lose physical attachments

Giving things unwanted-considered a  sacrilege

If something was not utilized, it could be taken back

Is love's the same-and not accepted, should you turn your back?

Love not easily shown, has been my problem

I need it known, before I can do more shoppin'

If she doesn't realize, my love was real

Then-complete, is something, I'd never feel

Walking From Love

My heart turns away, a tear for my first love

I really can't stay, but-I'll watch from above

Don't you believe, in the love I feel

I need you to see, that it was real

She thinks I'll wait, like times of past

But mark this date, because it was my last

I'm tired of leaving, then coming back

If she want me around, she'd better ask

In my life-you were, the brightest star

It made me forget, and heal the scars

My Love

I loved you in the beginning, I'll love you till the end

Even with one leg, my love remains-still true

My First Love

My first love, will always be my best

Her place above, any-and all the rest

Though-I let her go, I'll never forget

Things I couldn't show, left inside my chest

Her smile is brighter, then any sunrise

Loves memories-trapped, within her eyes

Her penetrating gaze, stalled of my advance

Led to-many days, left lulling in a trance

Then she found another, my love would not compete

I would not smother-his love, nor lead it to defeat

I said I loved her, but it was too late

I had a love, that did-procrastinate

My heart is always hers, she's fills all my desire

Her spark-was the first, the reason for my fire

Many years have past, her absence lingers

Left alone-to last; shattering to splinters

From my view, love is not between the two

Though she's married, I feel their loves-untrue

If I were to see, through love defined in mind

Their love-remains, to be, masking love inside

I don't claim to know, love between them hidden

From feelings that showed, a lie she was living

I know her heart hurts, from the love we never shared

I just want it known, I will, and have always cared

Empowerment

I hold your paper airplane, with the spark in me

Written beauty remains, as I gently set it free

My love written-in, above the world to glide

Freeing us from sin, we built on the inside

I don't wanna write my life, I wanna be my life

I have no control, of what I need to be

God gave me soul,  to help all see

I don't want power in my world

I want my world to empower me

An eye for an eye, makes the whole world blind

An I for an I, let's the whole world see

Grant us a third eye, so all can be free

Your perception is skewed , I am not gay

I'd much love-a woman, so sweet-with their sway

Their beautiful dresses, and wonderful curves

They are Beaty in nature, and I am allured

This is obviously one, who's made some wrong choices

I'm gonna change my name, to not-mix up voices

The duke of nature, is what I'll be called

From here on in, as your tears slowly fall

Sex is between, a man and woman

It's good to come clean-and start learning

If you have these thoughts, admit and let go

Or you'll remain caught, in circles of woe

A New Day

The sun rises, as in days once before

Open-heavens eyes, awake on my shore

For the "I" that I AM, I birth a tear

In heaven you'll stand-our hearts being near

I construct a palace, to contain the books

You, the librarian-will write of what hurts

My blood as the ink, our pains left on show

Staining white sheets, with memories of woe

Behind rose-hip lips, our new day is dawning

One built on stories, of pains we we're gnawing

Senseless grief, always keeping us back

Scars on our skin, ourselves-we attacked

On hopeful shores, we shall finally share

As my wind blows, we'll all start to care

Let strife be gone, the pains we'd "bear"

Through ONE great star, comes a powerful flare

Now-can I get some rest, the road has been long

Have I passed-the test, is it a worthy dawn?

Can we now start singing, your heavenly song.

Once again know, the "right from the "wrong"...

Hells Dove

Do not ask, just accept...and know it

There is a roadmap...walking backwards

In what I've written

Accept my words as truth

Laugh at the foolishness of those that won't

Give sympathy to those that do

Give 3 chances for acceptance

I would suggest dove wings

Hopefully my future self will fill in what I can't

Hell's dove, is your faith in grace

Do not fear in the night

Feel the day that is in thee

Ask questions

Hear the answers

Give more sympathy, as long as questions are asked

Hell's Dove is to receive my heart, trapped in a cage

Never fear what you see

Never punish yourself for something you didn't see

Something is wrong, it doesn't feel right

What do you fear, what pain do you hide?

The Breath

Breathe in, to breathe out

Realize sin, to come about

Contractional expansion, emancipated self

Conceptual refraction-things left on a shelf

My faith my guide, to lead me home

In you I hide, to you atone

Reflect you back, your love to see

As I attack, t'was meant to be

Don't leave me, come fly away

As we're conceiving-this life to stay

Take my death, as your grasp

The Best Part of Me

The best part of you, is the base of my rhyme

Your tune unsubdued, is my finish-behind

You give the spark, to-ignite my soul

Without you being part-I'd never be whole

You are the silence, that gives me a voice

When nothing is there, you are my choice

You are the space, that fills up my void

Without your trace, I'd have no  point

You give the lungs, that lets me have breath

You're what overcomes, my need to suppress

Waking From a Dream

Wake me from this dream, so I can finally see

The tear that fell in sleep, sent for you and me

Lost in what I feel, I forgot what was behind

Was any of it real, or have I just been blind?

I open up my eyes, to a world of hope in light

Under a saga tree I lie, swayed by what's inside

Birds pleasantly sing, soaring softly on the wind

Light left flickering, dance among shadows that rescind

Etched against the sky, clouds contrast vibrancy

Amid such paradise, one could spend eternity

Alas-my time is at an end, as sky colours fade

The sun dawns again-light to brighten a new day

My Golden Rose

There was a girl I love, she couldn't accept her feelings

Her-I still think of, love-left in my heart concealing

O how this girl drove me mad, with the denial of herself

Because I knew she was sad-I felt her pain myself

Did my love, you ever doubt? Did you think I wouldn't be satisfied?

With you-as we Shake the Earth, I hope it will awaken what's inside

Now how about we make a rose, so you might be cured

All those thoughts inside, just waiting to heard

Having no shame, mountain peaks lose their snow

Melted from the heat, you brought from down below

Birds now soar, ushering in the spring

The grass, the greenest you've ever seen

Willing to Accept Life

Holding a once broken heart

On a silver platter, laid in place

Twisting back to the start

Endured thought, leaving a trace

Warming calmness, by drinks supplied

Suicides call, subsides to the love felt

Trying to avoid a fall, can't be left behind

I long to feel less numb, to remember myself

I'll always live, to forget and forgive

Every minute, I reflect on my love for you

Moments we had, I wish we could ride in

Thoughts spinning, negative to subdue

Looking in your eyes, I want to fill the abyss

Your words, nothing but heart, could bring

Love Snare

What is the value of love?

Nothing physical can show it

I do feel it, this I am sure

I even feel I can show it

But, people never think its real

What if I was somehow connected to someone

Someone who can give it

But, never really feel it

Like we're sharing the same heart and mind

The love I taken in my heart, shines through his

The love taken in his mind, shines through mine

Of course, the mind can't really conceive it

So it's never quite there

There are people, that seem to have lost their emotion, from my poems

Like their caught in a love snare

I'm sorry if I've hurt you

It's my only output for love-it seems

These two people need to come together

I believe it would change the world

And save many, if it's the right place

He may be afraid, but I say don't be

I feel like I know you already,

I feel you through music, which I'm pretty sure You, have written, even if that sounds crazy

I've felt that his poetry is what the world needs

Although, it could use more hope

Which I would gladly give

Love to Find

Trust your inner voice, know-you're meant to stay

You ALWAYS have a choice, though some may lead astray

Trust in the heart, know that I am there

Loved you from the start, I'll free you from this snare

You are the light, and you are the love

Societies disdain, never grown beyond youth

On mountains-steep peak, futures-not so bleak

A tone-meant to seek, to pasts future-we sneak

Death by arrow, and bow, by a heavenly fellow

Our dream commenced, we now, under-go

Our seams were sent, with love to know

Purple skies alight-by love, eyes glimmering with light

It's hope we do here speak of, as we sail into the night

Love flowing through our veins, it is my sacrifice

Giving word to what remains, but trust-I will be nice

I came as a seeker, I was lost to my life

Love left-to meet here, to free it of it's strife

I forgive her, selfishness and worthless pride

The past is a pretense, best left observed

I am a simple man

A poor common farmer

Six ribbons left in hand

You think you can hide, behind the mask of a name

Subdued-I hear cries, screaming love meant to tame

I've not gone too far, our heart will survive

For you are my star, my hope left alive

Your eyes at my back, your piercing stare subdues

Analyzing my lack, through tears that haunt you

Your ashes to ashes, are my dust to dust

Stop with your gashes, my love here-do trust

This path of destruction, behind now best forgot

Your pain my obstruction, to memories-once begot

While fires mass consumption, hurts us on the spot

Flames display our construction, the warmth that we sought

Hope, is a higher love, and though we may not see

We feel it in our hearts, and know 'twas meant to be

Forming a new bond, through loving trust we'll show

That singing of our song, will bring you though unknown
